In Their Own Words

As one of the original owners of a home in Terra Maria, it’s bittersweet to be leaving after having lived here almost sixteen years. As much as we are looking forward to entering the next stage of our lives in the south, we are leaving behind many wonderful memories. Our children grew up with the Ruins, open space and playground right out their front door. They became confident bike riders in the alley behind our home. The woods behind our home became a fun place to explore – and the pond beyond was a wonderful sight when the leaves became sparse on the trees. Terra Maria is big on tradition – like the annual Halloween party, Easter egg hunt, and Fourth of July parade, to name a few. Terra Maria and Howard County are also big on diversity which has provided us with a wealth of neighbors from many backgrounds. The public schools in Howard County are award winning, with Terra Maria enjoying three of the best; Manor Woods Elementary, Burleigh Manor Middle, and Marriotts Ridge High School. We’ve attempted to not only keep our home updated with current trends but also kept ahead of maintenance with updates to heat/AC, water heater, kitchen, flooring and landscaping. This house has been a wonderful investment and home for our family!
